Key Responsibilities

An HVAC Technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial, industrial, or residential buildings to ensure optimal climate control and energy efficiency.

 

  • Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems and components.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and system tune-ups.
  • Test systems for proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Advise customers on energy efficiency and system upgrades.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; completion of HVAC training program preferred.
  • Valid HVAC technician certification (EPA Section 608, etc.).
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and controls.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
