Position Overview: 

 

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina OR Plano, Texas

Work Authorization: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future sponsorship. 

 

As the Director of Sales for Delta’s Energy Infrastructure Business, you will lead the strategy and execution of revenue growth across key segments supporting the energy transition, including utility-scale renewables, energy storage (BESS), and EV charging infrastructure.

 

This role is responsible for expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and driving adoption of Delta’s solutions across PV inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV charging infrastructure. You will play a critical role in positioning Delta as a leader in a rapidly evolving and highly competitive market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies across utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and residential energy infrastructure segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team aligned to revenue and growth targets.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to refine go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, and customer support teams to drive successful execution.
  • Own and manage complex sales cycles, including contract negotiations and long-term agreements.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and performance reporting to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within energy infrastructure, renewable energy, or electrification markets.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding targets in competitive, complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of energy infrastructure technologies, including PV, BESS, and/or EV charging solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customer and business needs.

Pay Range

USD $175,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or closing utility-scale energy projects and contracts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards within energy infrastructure.
  • Established network within the renewable energy or electrification ecosystem.
