Key Responsibilities

The CAD/BIM Manager will lead the drafting and modeling team responsible for developing coordinated drawing sets in AutoCAD and Revit for data center projects. This role ensures design accuracy, consistency across disciplines, and production of construction-ready documentation.

 

 

  • Manage production of coordinated AutoCAD and Revit drawing sets for all engineering disciplines.
  • Develop and enforce CAD/BIM standards across the team.
  • Oversee clash detection and model coordination for electrical, mechanical, civil, and telecom systems.
  • Train and mentor CAD/BIM technicians.
  • Support engineers by preparing drawing packages for stamping and submittals.
  • Maintain project libraries, templates, and drawing automation tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • 7+ years of experience in CAD/BIM for mission-critical projects.
  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Experience managing drawing standards and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data center or other mission-critical facilities (colocation, hyperscale, healthcare, or industrial).
• Familiarity with BIM execution plans (BEP) and ISO 19650 standards.
• Working knowledge of construction sequencing and coordination with contractors.
• Experience with Dynamo, AutoLISP, or other automation/scripting tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360).
• Understanding of electrical one-lines, mechanical layouts, and telecom infrastructure.
• Previous experience supporting fast-track or design-build projects.
• Professional certification such as Autodesk Certified Professional or BIM-related credentials.
