Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer (RCDD) to support the design and delivery of structured cabling and fiber infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. This role serves as a technical authority responsible for ensuring telecommunications systems are scalable, standards-compliant, and aligned with mission-critical operational requirements.

 

This is a highly impactful opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects supporting some of the most advanced data center environments in the industry.

 

The ideal candidate will hold an active BICSI RCDD certification and bring strong experience designing structured cabling and fiber systems within complex technical environments.

 

  • Design structured cabling and fiber distribution systems for hyperscale and enterprise data centers.
  • Develop telecommunications pathways, rack elevations, and detailed documentation packages.
  • Ensure compliance with TIA-942, ANSI/BICSI standards, and client-specific telecom requirements.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams to integrate telecom infrastructure into overall facility design.
  • Support customer RFP and RFI efforts through technical design input and documentation.
  • Provide design oversight and support during installation to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Active BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
  • 5–10 years of experience designing structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure, preferably in data center environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of TIA-942, ANSI/BICSI, and related telecom standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for telecom design and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic system design, including redundancy and pathway planning.
  • Experience working alongside construction teams in fast-paced project environments.
  • Knowledge of data center operational requirements including resiliency and scalability.
  • Ability to communicate technical designs clearly with internal teams and clients.
