Position Overview

 

Location: Plano, Texas OR Raleigh, North Carolina, United States (On-site)

Target Bonus: Eligible

The Director, Commercial Operations is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives across the commercial organization, including sales operations, pricing and quoting (CPQ), CRM implementation, process optimization, and go-to-market execution within Delta’s Energy Infrastructure business.

 

This role operates within a PMO-driven environment and is accountable for driving project governance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring successful delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong project management expertise, experience within a B2B or industrial environment, and the ability to influence across functions to drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of commercial operations initiatives, including defining scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and risk management.
  • Drive PMO governance by standardizing methodologies, tools, reporting, and project tracking across the organization.
  • Manage and prioritize a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives aligned to business objectives and commercial strategy.
  • Lead projects across CRM implementation and optimization, sales process improvement, pricing and quoting (CPQ), forecasting, pipeline management, and go-to-market execution.
  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment through regular communication, project updates, and executive-level reporting.
  • Drive change management and adoption of new tools, processes, and systems across the organization.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to improve performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Establish and track KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure project success, business impact, and adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, program management, PMO, or commercial operations.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification required.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within commercial or sales operations environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and commercial business tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, manage stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.

Pay Range

USD $190,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within energy, solar, industrial, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with CPQ tools, ERP systems, and sales operations processes.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-regional initiatives.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification.
