Key Responsibilities

The Lab Test Engineer is responsible for designing and conducting laboratory tests on materials and systems to ensure they meet quality standards and support product development. This role involves creating detailed test plans, operating specialized equipment, recording and analyzing test data, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing test plans based on specifications.
  • Executing tests and calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Analyzing results and identifying trends.
  • Reporting defects and collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment for accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting testing issues and proposing solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with engineers to share results and improve products.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field OR relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment and fabricating test fixtures a must.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements (if applicable)
  • Strong understanding of relevant engineering principles, test methodologies, and laboratory techniques specific to the industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools to interpret test results and generate meaningful reports
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes
  • High level of accuracy and meticulousness in data collection and recording
  • Ability to clearly document test procedures, results, and findings
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams to convey technical information and collaborate on solutions
