Key Responsibilities

 

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role supports the accounting department by performing day-to-day accounts payable functions and helping ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices for accuracy, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation before payment.
  • Prepare and execute payment runs via checks, ACH, wire transfers, or other methods.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and update the general ledger accordingly.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and build strong relationships with external partners.
  • Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives in the AP function.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred).
  • 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP/S4Hana) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a high-volume AP environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP/ S4Hana systems and electronic payment platforms.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.

 

Pay Range

USD $650,000.00 - USD $800,000.00 /Yr.
