About the Role

Delta is building next-generation microgrid platforms for commercial, industrial, data center, and utility-scale applications. We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager – Utility Microgrid Solutions to define Delta’s roadmap, product requirements, business cases, and partner strategy for grid-connected, utility-scale microgrid offerings.

This role will focus on GW-scale utility microgrid solutions, helping Delta turn complex utility opportunities into repeatable, scalable solution-as-a-product offerings. This role will define what Delta should offer in utility-scale microgrids, why customers and partners will buy it, what Delta should own, and what engineering must deliver to make the offering repeatable, competitive, and profitable.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience from utility-facing product management, grid infrastructure, HV/MV power systems, DER integration, grid-scale energy storage, or utility automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy, roadmap, and business cases for utility-scale microgrid solutions, including >100 MW partner-led architectures
  • Translate utility, IPP, developer, and grid-edge customer needs into clear product requirements, technical requirements, cost targets, and scope boundaries
  • Define Delta’s role in utility microgrid solutions, including what Delta should own internally versus deliver through partners
  • Establish requirements for utility-scale architectures, including HV/MV systems, BESS, PCS, controls, protection, interconnection, grid services, EMS/SCADA interfaces, and partner integration
  • Benchmark competitors, partner ecosystems, utility procurement models, and emerging grid-scale microgrid business models
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams and external partners.
  • Challenge engineering teams to deliver products and solutions that are differentiated, reusable, cost-effective, and scalable
  • Support product launch, portfolio reviews, partner strategy, and customer-facing technical positioning

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in utility, grid modernization, DER, BESS, microgrids, power systems, HV/MV equipment, industrial power systems, or energy infrastructure
  • Product management, solution management, application engineering, R&D leadership, or engineering management experience with meaningful customer-facing exposure
  • Strong understanding of utility requirements, interconnection, protection, grid services, grid-scale BESS, DER integration, or power system studies
  • Ability to translate market and customer needs into business cases, technical requirements, product roadmaps, and cost targets
  • Experience working with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, developers, OEMs, or grid technology partners
  • Strong technical and commercial judgment, with ability to influence engineering, sales, partners, and executive stakeholders

Pay Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HV systems, MV switchgear, transformers, grid automation, DERMS/EMS/SCADA, grid-forming inverters, or utility-scale energy infrastructure
